Lucien Poignant (1905-1941) - Born in Chambery in 1905, he studied painting at the side of her teacher Marcel Mergier which quickly detects among his pupil a gift for some art. Working time in the prefecture of Savoy, he quickly abandons his job to devote himself to his passion, painting. Habitant the same building as the painter Joseph Communal, encouraged by his brother, Lucien poignant, then having 19 years, exhibits at St Etienne which was the beginning of his success. His paintings are selling rapidly in the private galleries. He married in 1930 with Nancie Belle, herself a painter, that much influence.
