Painters Savoyards / Jean Communal
Jean Joseph Ernest Communal (1911-1982) - Born in Chambery in 1911, it is very young aware of the art in contact with his father, the painter Joseph Communal. Somewhat shy and reserved, Jean Communal once his studies at the Lyceum of Chambery completed unit for the capital. There follows the courses at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. From 1932 to 1935, employment at the workshop Andre Devambez and Hermine David burner. Life in Paris until 1977, he taught drawing in high school in Paris, while exercising his art next to his professional obligations. Paris, a city of artists par excellence in the new century, allows Communal de Jean soak in the work of Bonnard with his subtle touches or even Jacques Villon and Nicolas de Stael. Museums like the artist studios are accessible, he observes and analyzes the techniques that arise in his eyes. However, the artist retains a distance which is natural. Unlike his father and more figurative painter with a knife, the son he loves brushes and alternates figurative and impressionism. Her subjects are varied and his performances are the expression of profound impression that the artist feels. He painted Savoie, but also Italy and Spain, where he often travels in the company of his wife. It also explores the mosaic, he directed including two signs to the center in Challes-les-Eaux. It executes cartons tapestry for the manufacture of Aubusson but etchings and drawings of silk.
