Marcel Wibault (1904-1998) - Born in Besançon in 1904, he studied drawing and acting in this art with passion. He represents his paintings on the old houses, landscapes, Franche-Comté… It also illustrates books. It draws Lamartine or the church of Brou. In 1940, World War II allows the painter to discover the city of Chambery. The paintings include the Alpine. But soon, he s'établi in Chamonix where there remains permanently. Now, his favourite subject becomes the Mont Blanc massif. Se itself cutting hair and cutting his shirts himself, this artist atypical leaves a considerable artistic heritage. His son Lionel Wibault was also in contact with his father, took over the torch to become a painter himself warned and respected by all. The mountain landscapes of Marcel Wibault do finally return to posterity.
